The 2015 Porsche 911 GT3 defines “track weapon”. It’s not the monster Turbo…instead, it’s like the 911 Go-Kart: find a track and carve it to bits. If you are any kind of driver whatsoever, the GT3 will help you look heroic. If you’re a very skilled driver, you’ll be able to screw with the heads of those who have supercars with much bigger power numbers than the 475 horsepower you’ll have from the flat-six. It’s good. Real good. It’s not normal BangShift stuff, but fast is fast and we promise you that if you got your shot behind the wheel, you’d have a very good time.
We’ve recently learned through a few channels that there is a sale of eighteen identical 2015 GT3s going on in the Netherlands. Apparently a wealthy Dutchman purchased the cars to fill out a racetrack that sadly, never got built. That means that eighteen GT3s with the Club Sport Package (roll cage, six-point harness, external fuel tank and the spot for a battery master switch) have delivery miles and have been sitting in a warehouse, unused. You can buy them individually, at about $160,000 a pop. You can buy the whole fleet for about $2.86 million before importation. Or, you can do what we are doing and wonder why not a single one was taken out into the countryside and romped on at least a little bit…
