Over the years we have run video and content showing racer doing some very ummm, edgy things on the race track to gain position or win a race. All of those things are literal kid’s play after you get a load of the move the guy in the video below pulls on another unsuspecting racer during a rally in some country that we think isn’t America. One of the guys who we’ll call the “victim” here was driving a VW Golf or a GTI or some variant of that car and the other dude is driving a similar car in shape but it is now a VW. It is an Alfa Romeo or something of that matter. Either way, a pair of hatchbacks.
Both of these cars are rocketing down a pretty narrow country road wherever this is being filmed and the black car is obviously the faster of the two. Of course the problem is that there is literally no room for the slower driver to give room for a pass. This fact did not phase the guy in the Alfa (or whatever the hell it is) in the least because he just kicked ‘er down a gear and went for the gusto.
This “bold” move results in one of the wildest cases of near miss destruction we have ever seen. One car is down a cliff the other is up one and somehow they both come out relatively unscathed (especially the guy that started it). We don’t know if rally races have rules for situations like this. At a traditional road race they would throw you out and strip you of your racing license. Seen that one happen before. Here? Maybe they yell at him when he finished or someone steals one of his goats. Who knows?
