There are certain vehicles in your automotive life that stop you in your tracks and literally challenge you to see every inch of them. One of those was parked outside the 2015 SEMA show in the form of this custom built, completely tubular stainless steel art car that was constructed to be used at Burning Man and wherever else the owner wanted it. Built over a period of four months with between eight and 10 people working on it constantly, words fail to accurately convey its presence.
Powered by a Ford Coyote motor, featuring seats for five people (with sword serving as the seat’s “spine”) and who knows how many miles of stainless steel tube, this creation is one of the most stunning, if not confusing things, we have ever seen. The interview Kyle does with the builder below is cool because it does lend some insight into what went on in the planning and building stages of this rig.
Love it or hate it, you have to respect the fabrication, fit and finish, and overall presence of the vehicle. Even if you think the thing is crap you couldn’t help but gawk at it while telling everyone how much you hated it. For the record we DID NOT hate it and while the theme is not our speed, the workmanship, craftsmanship, and engineering all get two thumbs up. We want to drive it!
WHAT the ?
A new definition of a “well polished turd”. 🙂
I love my tubing bender I love my tubing bender I love my tubing bender….
A toy for some rich asshole to take to “burning man”, what a waste of stainless steel tubing , craftsmanship, and time.
Yeah, it really sucks when people pay a craftsman to manufacture stuff. I mean why the hell should talented people be able to make money!!! And it’s also well known that being rich makes you an asshole – I mean NOONE here would like to be rich.
