This 1970 C20 Chevrolet Is Probably One Of The Nicest Work Body Trucks Around

There is something about a work body that is just cool. Okay maybe not when you are 20, but when you get to be my age there is something about utilitarian stuff that just gets us excited. This would be an amazingly bitchin shop truck, although we’d lower it a bit. You know, to make loading stuff easier. Yeah, that’s it! This truck isn’t cheap, but it has so much in it that we can’t really blame them for asking what they are. Someone will love this thing and with any luck drive it for a lot more miles. The seller has tons of info, check it out below.

MECHANICAL:
MECHANICALLY THIS TRUCK HAS BEEN RESTORED! IT RUNS AND DRIVES GREAT! I PERSONALLY DROVE IT FOR A WEEK AND I CAN HONESTLY SAY THAT I COULD DRIVE THIS EVERY DAY. BASICALLY EVERYTHING HAS BEEN REBUILT OR REPLACED – THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION WERE REBUILT, THE CARBURETOR WAS REBUILT, A NEW WATER PUMP WAS INSTALLED, NEW SUSPENSION, A NEW RADIATOR, NEW BRAKES, ELECTRONIC IGNITION, NEW MASTER CYLINDER, THE REAR END WAS SERVICED, A NEW DRIVESHAFT, NEW WHEELS, NEW TIRES, NEW GAS TANK, THE BODY MOUNTS WERE REPLACED, NEW AUTO METER GAUGES, ETC.

IT HAS A FULL SIZE SPARE TIRE, THE UTILITY BUMPER AND IT IS A 3/4 TON WITH 8 LUG AXLES. THE SERVICE BED IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. ALL OF THE BOXES ARE IN GREAT SHAPE AND OPEN AND CLOSE AS THEY SHOULD AND ALL LOCK WITH ONE KEY.

COSMETICS:
THE TRUCK WAS LOADED WITH OPTIONS WHEN IT ROLLED OFF THE ASSEMBLY LINE. IT HAS THE CUSTOM PACKAGE WHICH INCLUDED THE UPGRADED INTERIOR/TRIM. IT ALSO HAS THE BODY MOLDING AND A NEW SET OF WHEELS AND TIRES. THE TRUCK SHOWS VERY NICE. THE PAINT SHINES AND THE NEW INTERIOR WITH THE SERAPE SEAT LOOKS VERY COOL, TOO. BASED UPON THE SPID STICKER, THE TRUCK WAS ORIGINALLY WHITE WITH GOLD, SO IT OBVIOUSLY HAS A RESPRAY AT SOME POINT, MOST LIKELY TO MATCH THE SERVICE BED THAT WAS ADDED.

DON’T LET THIS ONE GO! YOU DON’T SEE MANY LIKE THIS, ESPECIALLY IN THIS CONDITION WITH THIS MUCH WORK PUT INTO IT!

Are you turning this site into Used Truck Trader ?

Have you ran out of ideas ?

Compared to some overpriced, oversized, late model, gussied up, cul-de-sacko that we’re all supposed to believe is a truck, it’s a bargain. Pretty much on par with used, just a whole lot more interesting and in all likelihood a better value in the long run. And, it’s actually a truck, with a nice utilitarian quality that only a thinking person can appreciate.

I was liking it until seeing it was a re-sale red paint job? Nope no thanks I’m out!

Too many sins too little time.. where to start… Can we knock around the person that did the work please??

The hub caps are not supposed to be polished. They should have paint. the rear should have the SAME hub caps. The mirrors are fail. that added on bed is the reason for ‘west coast mirrors’. The seat is fail, the paint is fail. If your going to color change, you have to do ALL the work.
