Hey, I dig the Roadkill hauler as much as the next guy but it does not have these sweet graphics or a four speed, so this one is better, right? The truck is insanely clean and would be the perfect car hauler for any sportsman drag racer or for the guy who has something sweet to put on the back and show off. I have never actually seen a 1980s Chevy truck with that graphic treatment on the front of it and something tells me that if they sold many, most of them are gonzo and if the truck survives, the graphics are toast. Paint and body weren’t exactly GM “specialties” back in the 1980s.
The other reasons that this truck caught my eye are pretty evident. The big block/four speed combo is ripe to be pulled out, beefed up, and stuffed back into the truck, the aluminum bed, and the under truck photos that show a chassis and running gear that look just as clean and nice as they did rolling off the lot when this truck was new. As clean as this sucker is, we’re thinking that it lived most of its life out west and has not been in Florida for all that long. I’d expect to see some more small rust stuff if it had been in Florida for more than 30 years, but maybe I am just being picky.
The one creepy part of the operation is the style of ramps laid out to back cars off the trucks. The ramps are about a half mile long and have a lot of bow to them when just sitting there so when a couple thousand pounds is applied to the middle of that span, who knows what it will look like! We’d have some new ramps with support feet welded up and that would solve that issue.
Overall, this is an insanely clean truck that is more than 30 years old and would make a BOSS race car hauler. Warm up the big block, tune up the four speed, put some good exhaust on it and you’ll have the nastiest sounding and rig around!

If you buy this rig, have a new set of ramps made. The pictures show ramps hijacked from some “cheapo” lawn business.
Screw the hauler, I want the Ford on the back!
Me too
The eBay ad says it has airbags – did trucks have airbags in 1985?
I loved the E-bay ad copy begins with ‘Super Rare’.
Yeah, see Chevy only built a few cab & chassis in the 80’s.
I also liked the picture of the superb door to cab fit on the passenger door. Nice and tight.
Jeezus, use those ramps and you will end up on a YouTube highlight reel.
Meh. Typical. $ Four grand – tops.
Pretty Cool!
Wonder how much to get the thing shipped to Australia?
Would be cheaper then buying a decent car trailer, and tow car, here.
