RacingJunk Find: This Pair Of 700ci Screw Blown Big Block Engines Make Mountain Moving Torque

Boy howdy this is some stuff! We found a pair of marine engines for sale on RacingJunk that’ll make your toes curl. This pair of 700ci screw blown big block engines make mountain moving torque. They are not exactly shy on the horsepower side either, creating 1,691hp at 6,300 rpm. The torque though, that’s the stuff that’ll keep whatever floating vessel you want to power hauling ass. That’s 1,508 lb-ft at 5,700 rpm which means you have a combined total of about 3,400hp and 3,000 lb-ft of torque shoving your ass through the deep blue sea. The there’s the noise. Think of the bellow that these two huge engines and they screw blowers make when the throttle handle is laid flat. Holy cow it must be biblical!

The fuel consumption must be about as amazing as the noise, right? A 700ci engine running at 6,000 RPM with a load on it times two?! They are gasoline burning engines that have alcohol injection and all the good parts you would expect. The engines are built off of Merlin blocks, they use Sonny Bryant cranks, they have Dart Big Chief heads on them and those heads are anchored by ARP studs and all the good stuff from top to bottom.

There’s an Autronic EFI that’s feeding the engines which each have 16 injectors. There are eight injectors up top that are feeding fuel into the hat and helping to cool the charge though the blower and then there are eight in the intake as well. The ad claims that the engines both make over 1,000 lb-ft at 3,500 RPM and it only gets better for there. The only work that these things have on them is some dyno time and there are sheets shown in the ad.

The scope of owning something bad ass enough to require these engines is lost on us. Not that we do not think these power makers rule, it is just freaking crazy. The cost of operating them the way they want to be run is another whole kettle of fish that blows our mind as well. If you’ve got the jack for the boat, you likely have the jack for the engines. Here they are.
