I like Scouts. They just look cool. Like a little Bronco, but with a dash of farm equipment. There is nothing sexy about them, but they certainly are the utilitarian vehicle you want to have under you when the going gets rough. That’s why I really like this bashed, but beautiful, 1963 Scout 80. It’s got full size Chevy one ton axles underneath it, but unfortunately the front is the weaker 10 bolt. This sucker doesn’t weight anything so it’s probably fine for now, but it would be the thing I would want to change eventually. The 14 bolt out back will live forever, and the rest of the drivetrain is pretty bulletproof as well. It is definitely not going to win any shows, and the quarter panels have certainly seen their fair share of rocks, but it’s still a clean rig that looks like it would be a riot to run around in.
And the seller’s video walking around this thing will have you appreciating the overall condition and fabrication work on this sucker. It really does look well put together.
