Two-Door Tahoes are something you don’t see every day. I still think of them as a “Blazer” and wish that is what Chevrolet had called them, but regardless of the name they are cool rides. I especially like the two-wheel drive models, but they are pretty rare to find anymore. After all, trucks like this are 20 years old now so finding them in good shape is getting more and more rare. I’d love to have one like this as a daily driver. I mean who wouldn’t, with the lowered stance, 5 spokes, and custom touches this is one ride that any sport truck enthusiast would be happy to have in their driveway. Of course if I had my dream team of OBS trucks it would include this one, a bagged standard cab short bed, a lowered extended cab shortbed, a lifted crew cab short bed, and a bagged crew cab dually. You know, if I had the money for a whole fleet of OBS trucks.
This particular truck has the original 350 which runs good, a recent rebuild of the transmission, is lowered using all Bell Tech components, including a C Notch and the 20 inch US Mag 5 spokes wrapped in nearly new tires. According to the seller it could use a color sand and some minor touch ups but we sure don’t see that in the photos. For $9,000 it’s probably a pretty good deal.
stupid owner replaced the air bag wheel. that won’t fly if your state does inspections.
Really?!?!? Calling him stupid about replacing the stock airbag wheel. It is a great compliment to a beautiful car. Respect is the honor we can give to others in our car culture.
Aloha
Removing airbags is not illegal ( did it to one of my Caprices). Just be sure your insurance knows about it since it will be adjusted for no airbag.
This is a really nice truck. Over time you could budget for an upgrade for the brakes and shocks and, since it’s a Chevy, swap in a you-know-what without receiving too much hate mail. And yes, fix the steering wheel and give the interior the once-over. Definitely a rare find.
Pretty sure this is my old Tahoe, what city is it for sale in? Wouldnt mind buying it back
If you learned to drive pre-airbag and pre-cellphone days you would not be so paranoid driving with a regular wheel. I would rather drive vehicle without nanny aids.
if you guys have the guts…..buy the truck, remove all the pre-nanny aids from this truck and tell vehicle inspection and/or your insurance company about what you did. to be a real hero, that means no seat belts if you have kids in car seats. now tell me how smart you really are…….
Bill, now you’re just being stupid.
They don’t care about airbags in Texas. Maybe you should MOVE!
That wheel is ugly anyway. I drive plenty of pre airbag cars, don’t know why you would remove one for a cheap wheel.
Beautiful truck !
My brother had this in a 4wd a 96 he bought in 98. He kept it mint. Not much driving in the snow, always clean. Friggin thing still rotted. Radiator support replaced, new door bottoms then the chassis started to rot. Be careful buying one.
