I love old busses, whether stock, modified into cool RVs or when customized to haul toys. I have seen a few really cool school bus conversions into both open and enclosed ramp trucks to haul race cars, off-road rigs, and all kinds of stuff. This one may be too nice to cut up for the ramp truck mod, but it certainly would make a great RV for going to the races and having fun with the family. It has some rare options, runs and drives mint, and is ready to roll mechanically. Given the fact that we often see folks starting with boring box front school buses that are in questionable condition, a round front Crown that runs and drives mint is something to see. 1982 crown supercoach. Current registration and insurance through October 2021. Has a turbocharged 671 detriot diesel and a 5 speed manual transmission. Very rare bus as not many were made with the equipment this one has. My bus has FULL AIR RIDE SUSPENSION out of the factory. Only 1 in 50 were built with full air ride special order. Most of them were leaf spring suspension. Aluminum wheels, engine had an in frame overhaul in 2015. I had all of the maintenance done with a crown certified shop in riverside including detroit correct oil change, valves , injector and governor adjustments. New air filter, replaced the air horn with one that works, brakes were checked and adjusted. This bus is solid and very enjoyable to drive. I’ve already driven her to vegas, san diego and san jose and had plans to convert it to a cross country coach but this pandemic has caused income to dry up a bit. I drive her twice a week on average to keep the batteries fresh. She is stored in a secure lot in ontario and can be shown with an appointment. I have the paperwork for the bus and i can take you out for a test drive if you are serious. I will not respond to lowball offers . This bus is easily worth $18,000-20,000 in it’s current condition and is turn key drivable. Everything works and she will easily do a coast to coast road trip as-is, you will likely not find another one like it. As painful as it is to consider seeing my bus go i am not desperate and will not sell if my income goes back up in the near future. I may be willing to entertain trades or trades+cash depending on what you have. I am in the market for a semi truck and particularly interested in peterbilt or freightliner manual transmission truck able to run in and out of California. My asking price is $14,000 thank you and have a wonderful day.
Kool. The seats are out so you’re half way home on whatever direction you decide to go.
I have seen some of those with tandem rear axles . Stick with a Detroit. man this thing is dang near bulletproof. And would tow anything you hooked to it. Very cool.
Slow as F. great if you like going less than 60 mph. No AC, No generator, no anything, might not be able to register in Commie CA
