Desert Off-Road Testing Right Next To The Public Road In Plaster City!

Plaster City is a place that almost nobody outside of the off-road world, and most certainly Southern California, needs to know about. It’s desert, and not particularly pretty desert at that, and it has a plaster plant and some railroad tracks. So why does anyone care about it? Well, the Plaster City OHV (Off Highway Vehicle) area is the perfect testing grounds for racers who run in the deserts of Nevada or Mexico and because it is really easy to get to it is the hot bed of long travel suspension testing. What’s cool as hell about it, is the fact that you can run wide open right next to the public road which means teams can watch their trucks hauling ass through the dirt while riding on relatively smooth pavement filming all the action. We’ve been out there testing suspensions before and been by ourselves, and other times there are dozens of trucks racing across the terrain. It really is fun to watch.

Which brings me to the videos below. Here are a couple from Psychotic Racing showing them doing testing two directions in their truck as well as some rear suspension and in cab camera footage. Man these trucks are getting a work out!
