Here is the trailer for the soon to be released “This Is One Lap” showing the adventures of Brandon Ranvek, Andy Smedegard, and Ronnie Soliman. These three take an EVO 9 with a trailer strapped to the back and haul ass at 7 tracks, in 7 days, and cover 3500 miles doing it. There are a total of 80 competitors that are crazy enough to do this, but this threesome is special. They know each other, the car, and the challenge first hand and kick it’s ass over the week long Tire Rack One Lap of America. They have to replace a clutch, fix a trailer hitch, sort out fuel system issues, and so much more while also trying to go fast, keep smiling, and not kill each other.

I’ve personally witnessed their ability to go fast, their ability to thrash, and their ability to smile and have fun and can tell you that they are uniquely qualified for an event like this. I’ve done many similar events and can tell you that the fun to suffering scale is often balanced which makes you wonder if it is all worth it. After all, there is no giant check. Not international fame. No profession driving deal. In fact, while doing this the rest of the world is going on like normal. At home the grass is growing and the trash is piling up. When you get home it is time to be dad or business owner or all of it. But while on the road, for that week, they are rockstars.
