There has never been a better time to build a classic truck, because there are a ton of parts and pieces available to restore or customize them. And if you are building something mild or wild you will find something that fits your style. But gauges can sometimes be a tough one, especially on older trucks like the 1947-1955 models because they have two big round gauges in a dash that is pretty clean and nice, and that doesn’t always take too much customization nicely. You can really screw up the look of these dashes if you try to put the wrong gauges in them. Which is why I dig gauges like these new ones from Classic Instruments. They look right in the dash and yet have all the modern gauge functionality you need and want, especially if you are performing an engine swap. They will of course work with the original 6 cylinder too, but come on, these trucks have a lot of room for fun engine combos so why wouldn’t you change it up.

Classic Instruments Adds Two Design Styles to Its ’54-55 Truck Package
Boyne City, MI, December 6th, 2021 — Classic Instruments is pleased to announce the release of two all new design styles for its current 1954-55 direct-fit truck package. After becoming popular on the previously launched ’47-53 Truck, the team decided to carry the style over to this truck package as well. The two new styles are designed to replicate the OE look of both Chevy and GMC models. Billet aluminum center medallions and factory correct colors bring a retro look back into the trucks while maintaining gauges that function with today’s technology. Each set includes a quad gauge, fuel, oil, temp, and volt gauges all-in-one, and either a standard speedometer or a Speetachular which is a speedometer and tachometer combination.
These two new styles for 1954-55 Trucks can be purchased from Classic Instruments direct or through any one of its authorized dealers.
