This 1968 C10 Crew Cab Pickup Is Like A Wet Dream Come True! If Only Chevrolet Had Built Them This Way

This 1968 C10 Crew Cab Pickup Is Like A Wet Dream Come True! If Only Chevrolet Had Built Them This Way

There are a few companies around the country that build crew cab trucks from older GM and Fords that never actually came that way from the factory, and every time I see one I just drool. Even if the manufacturer did build crew cabs in some of these older body styles, they were most often sold for government or railroad operations and after their usefulness ran out they were often scrapped or sold for some equally hard life and never survived. In nearly all cases they were 1 ton or 3/4 ton models, often 4-wheel drive, and always as spartan as possible. We’re talking no creature comforts and no options beyond what was needed to get the job done. This 1968 Chevrolet C10 Crew Cab is NOT one of those trucks.

Nope, this is one custom and well appointed machine that has been hand crafted into a truck that anyone would pay real money for if they could buy it off the showroom floor this way today. Outside it is all 1968 C10, with updates in the color and finish department, along with modern 20 inch wheels and tires that look like those Chevrolet would want on them today. Just looking at the interior has you loving the factory fresh seats and appointments, but also enjoying real steel doors, the good old style dash, and style that is missing from today’s trucks. But this one is no show queen only, it is also a driver. All of the truck works, including the LS Swap, AC, power everything, custom exhaust, cats, disc brakes all the way around, rebuilt and lowered suspension and so much more can be found in this one.

In short, we’re drooling over it and wish we had the money to own one like this.

Selling a one of a kind C10 daily driver.
.
Off the frame restoration/fabrication, chassis was sand blasted. 4 doors, seats 5, front power seats, push start ignition, usb chargers, new leatherette interior, black roof liner, new glass all around, one-piece front doors glass, retro look radio, AC blows cold, front doors power locks, key less entry alarm, LS swap, passed emissions, intake, headers, 2.5” dual exhaust with H-pipe, high flow cats, 12” mufflers, 4 disc brakes, 20” wheels, power steering, aluminum radiator, electric fans, new suspension on all four corners, truck was dropped in the front with spindles and the rear with shorter springs. I’m sure I am missing a lot of stuff….. The truck drives and looks awesome, it gets a lot of compliments everywhere I take it.

I would definitely rather have this (at a workable ride height) than that monstrosity of a Silverado Chevrolet has foisted on the world.

  2. andyb

This could actually be really attractive if it wasn’t for the drug dealer’s wheels.

Shame it’s not a regular cab.

Regular cab and ordinary wheels? There’s millions of those.

This ride is ready to roll just like it is!

This is a beautiful truck. Now if it were mine, those happy ass looking wheels would be returned to the ricer they were stolen from (nobody pays for wheels like these, right?) I’d install some nice 18″ 5 spoke TorqueThrust wheels & lose the rubber band tires to improve the ride quality. Then I would pitch the Krylon looking, spray painted trim, replace it with factory pieces & add the missing pieces to the tail gate…….And that’s just in a few seconds of looking!

New leatherette interior?? That’s the crap that comes on the furniture they sell @ Walmart. Bleeeh! I would add real leather in a nice saddle color

Beautiful truck except the wheels makes me want to rob a bank all whacked off of Scooby snacks

  6. HotRodPop

Hah! “…all whacked on Scooby snacks!” LUV that song! And I agree… Musta been some Scooby snacks involved in pickin’ them wheels to begin with!

Well with all due respect! The OWNER of the truck created HIS own CUSTOM DESIGN to HIS SPECIFICATIONS! NOBODY\’S opion of what HE has done REALLY MATTERS because what it most importantly is that HE is HAPPY with the VISION that HE had CAME into LIGHT! Starting a project & finishing it is a journey all by itself, but he completed it!!!! Y\’all really shouldnt be so judgmental of another person\’s idea! People like you have a name, DREAM KILLERS!!! You have choices to LIKE or DISLIKE what he has done but at the end of the day, he ACCOMPLISHED what HE WANTED & was NICE ENOUGH to share HIS CUSTOMIZATION with others! Now if YOU didnt put any cash into what HE did for HIS CUSTOMIZATION then YOU shouldn\’t take away from it! What are YOU losing or gaining in the matter, NOTHING!!! TREAT people the way YOU want to be treated, RESPECT one another, much is given back in return when you give it out to others. So MUCH LUV for the OWNER of the 1968 C10, CONGRATULATIONS on YOUR completion of YOUR DREAM COME TRUE, IT CAME TO THE LIGHT! YOU VISION IS COMPLETED, MISSION WELL DONE! So for those whom are being so judgemental, maybe they need to post their dream if & when it comes true!

I couldn\’t agree more about the so cald rubber band wheels the size is really ignorant…. Myself I\’d\’ve had a nice custom rally rims size 17inc tall and 10inch wide beauty ring with SS center caps wide tires in back an a size lower in the front a long with real leather interior nice truck other wise but would the owner put ANYTHING IN THE BED ITS A NICE ASS \”TRUCK\” THAT NEEDS ALL FACTORY CHROME STRETCHED IF NEED BE ….NOT A HATER MUCH RESPECT WHERE DO YOU HIDE THE DIME BAGS

  8. Bagged Six4 Fleetside

Very Sweet truck..!! Love the concept but also have to agree with the others…the wheel package is trash. Bay Area G\’s would have that thing looking legit AF..!! #JustSayin #NoDisrespect

  9. Big Sky Dreamer

…….for 70 grand that thing should have a “back flip switch” – no hating here – just observing!!!

  10. chris hoff

Love it, drug wheels and all !!!
I wood drive the wheels off of it if I owned it.
But what do I know being a car guy all my life !!
What comments from the crowd-every ones a critic now days-would love to see what they build

  11. Patrick

When stuff is for sale, especially at this price, you must expect criticism. And the wheels DO SUCK for those fascinated with caps lock. no different than going to the car dealership and wanting different rims.

  12. Scott Liggett

A bunch of people getting all upset over the easiest things to change. The wheels can swapped out in 15 minutes.

I really think some enterprising person could make a good living and business converting 60’s to 70’s GM trucks to four doors and extra cabs.

  13. Jeepinmike

Needs a slightly upsized steel wheel with dog dishes…. or an aluminium clone of aforementioned steel wheel. Sometimes you just have to go retro and keep with the original look.
