This LS Swapped Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser Could Be Your Perfect Winter And Summer Off-Roader

Land Cruisers are cool as hell. They always have been, and they always will be. The FJ40 is arguably the most popular of all, but we will admit to being fans of the FJ45, 55, 60, and 80 models as well. No FJ is more popular for a small block swap than the FJ40 though and it seems weird to even see one anymore with the original inline 6 up front. The reason these were so popular to swap was the fact that the Toyota Inline 6 was based on the GMC 235 inline 6 which meant the GM bell housing pattern. This meant that a couple brackets made a small block bolt right in and attached to the stock transmission. With the introduction of the LS engine, and its popularity for engine swaps, it is no surprise that these FJ40s are now being LS Swapped like this one here.

But that’s not all that’s done to this one. I’ve built a few FJs and have seen this one in person and can tell you that it is a great driver and runs smooth. Not only that, but it has all the mods you want on one.

Here are a few of the highlights.

Spring Over Axle Lift

Front Shackle Reversal

Crossover High Steer Conversion

Roll Cage

Warn Winch

37 inch Interco Super Swamper IROKs
