This is brutal! Fighting55 Racing’s Jimmy Haughy and Brian McCarthy show us just how crazy the King of the Hammers can be. They worked their asses off but didn’t qualify for King of the Hammers until the Last Chance Qualifying race. Finishing in just over 2 minutes and 35 seconds, they ended up in 4th which got them in the show, but wow is it tough. Watching this video will show you just how brutal the Nitto King of the Hammers really is, and this is only a couple minutes! Imagine what this is like for 10 hours! Holy crap these guys get beat up.

10 hours of torture!
What amazes me is the suspension set up – the end of the hood appears to stay almost level no matter what angle the terrain is. But whilst that must smooth out the ride the constant battering of the rocks on the underside of the car must be ear-shattering and despite the neat cold air tubes connected to the helmets the heat must be exhausting.
I loved the neat handlebars for the navigator to hold on to – I wonder if his hands had to be prized off them after 10 hours?
