When GM went from the Square Body series of trucks to what is now referred to as the OBS, or Old Body Style, trucks in 1988 they also started changing names. Instead of being called a Blazer, the two door “Blazer” would eventually become a Tahoe, and some people were confused. I still refer to this full size as a Blazer when describing them, but no matter what you call them they are awesome. The two doors like this one have been popular for a few years, but with the recent upswing and OBS craze it is even more so. I’ve known several people who’ve owned these and everyone seems to have a soft spot for them in their hearts. I want one.
This particular OBS two-door Tahoe is about as simple as it gets. There are no giant wheels, no weird opening doors, no body mods that make you wonder what someone was thinking. This truck is clean, simple, and low and that’s exactly what we like around here. Did we mention that it has 17 inch billet wheels? Yep, and we love it. This is what customs trucks should feel like.
Watch.
Yep!
I’ve only seen 2 for sale in my area in the past 5 yrs. They are rarer than hen’s teeth!
Super hard to find! They are cool cruisers
These, the C/K5s, the Broncos, and the Ramchargers look awesome dropped. Those trucks lifted are cool. But I love them dropped. I just wish the C1500 Blazer/Tahoe two door had a removable top. But, GM would have messed that up. It was better this way.
