At Full Sail: Nissan Has Refreshed Their Flagship Armada SUV And The Price Didn’t Change

(By Tom Lohnes) – The Nissan Armada has been, like any Nissan, the value payer in its segment, with the lowest price in its class, a punchy V8, standard 4WD, and ever-comfortable seats. Although all that is great, the Armada was one of the last vehicles on the market to use a pixelated screen in the gauge cluster. It is safe to say the Armada was painfully outdated, but that changes for 2021.

Wearing a giant grille, a refreshed rear end, and a new interior, the Armada amazingly keeps its base price of $47,500 even with the update. Under the hood lies a 5.6-liter V8 that packs a standard 400 horsepower and 410 lb.-ft of torque. There is a new transmission in the form of the 9-speed unit that was just dropped into the Titan pickup, ditching the slow 7-speed. Inside the bank-vault thick doors is a new screen, 12.3 inches to be exact, and thankfully a new gauge cluster screen. 4WD controls, the shifter, steering wheel, and all switchgear remain the same. Not that you would be launching your Armada, but if you do, 0-60 happens in a rather quick 5.6 seconds. .

The new Nissan Armada enters production in spring of 2021, so if you want a fat discount on the 2020 models, swing by your local Nissan dealer and chances are you’ll get a good deal.
