$1,000 Build: Building A Rat Rod Style F100 For Just $1,000 Is Not Only Happening Right Here, But Is Turning Out Awesome!

If you like doing less with more, then this video series is just what you need to be inspired on your own projects. Take one F100 body, find a donor chassis, and make the two into one that is not only drivable but also cool and fun. This isn’t a build that is just aimed at making a driving vehicle, because that is easy. This is about making a good looking, good performing, fun hot rod that you can roll into a cruise night or show with and people will check it out not because it is weird, but because it is cool. We dig it. This is fat fender truck goodness right here don’t you think? And he’s spent less than $500 on the project so far, and has used just $355 worth of tools!

If you missed any of the previous installments, click the link below to check them out, but here is the basics. This F100 body, which we know lots of guys who would have loved to start a project with, and a Ford Crown Vic (actually a Lincoln Towncar in this case), along with some creative and simple fabrication are going together to make this low, cool, and fun to drive hot rod. Yes it will be a “rat rod” style ride as paint isn’t in the $1,000 budget, but that doesn’t mean you couldn’t do your own and then spend another $1,000 painting it at home to end up with a “pretty” hot rod that you still spent almost no money on. Check it out.
