When you get a new “project” that is almost complete and in really good shape and that only needs some work in order to be up and running, those are holy grail kinds of finds and make you feel really good about the prospect of getting started on a new build. But there is also something completely freeing and inspiring about a project that starts at the complete opposite end of the spectrum. You know, like this one where the entire 1937 Ford Truck is in pieces, fits inside the bed of a full size truck, and is removed by hand and with a forklift. Oh yeah, this one is going to be epic. And in true HalfAss Kustoms style, this thing is going to come together into something cool and fun. And it’s going to look like a complete truck as soon as possible, if for no other reason than to be inspiring.
That’s actually one of the things I love about Brent and what he does. He always seems to take these projects that are just a pile of parts and stack them up first thing so he can see what they might look like when done. Sure it takes some squinting sometimes, but this feller is pretty darn good at making it look like something in a hurry. We dig that.
So this is a new project. It’s going to be a hot rod of sorts as he is fond of saying, and we know that if it is anything like his normal we are going to see something cool when it is all done. He’s done several hot rod truck projects over the years, so he’s pretty good at it, but this one is nothing but a pile of parts. Let’s see what happens.
