Prescott, Ariz. (Jan. 9, 2024) – Centerforce, a leading manufacturer of performance clutches and flywheels for classic and late-model cars and trucks for over 40 years, has released its new Internal Hydraulic Bearing option for 2018-24 Jeep Wrangler JL and Gladiator JT models equipped with manual transmissions. This new hydraulic throwout bearing is engineered to solve the bearing rattle that commonly affects manual transmissions in late-model Jeeps while improving pedal feel and overall durability by simplifying the clutch’s release mechanism.
The Centerforce Internal Hydraulic Bearing features a wider range of travel as well as steel braided lines with heat shielding and a Jiffy-Tite dry disconnect for easy installation. The bearing acts as both the throwout bearing and the slave cylinder, all in one compact unit, replacing several wear-prone parts known to cause rattling. The simplified release mechanism reduces the number of moving parts and offers even more improved pedal feedback and feel over Centerforce’s existing external bearing system. With a simple installation process, this kit is ideal for JL and JT owners looking to upgrade their clutch systems, especially when paired with Centerforce performance clutches and inertia flywheels.
The Centerforce II (KCFT157077) and Dual Friction (KDF157077) kits are complete clutch packages that now include the new Internal Hydraulic Bearing. These kits feature a one-piece billet steel high inertia flywheel, a Centerforce II or Dual Friction clutch disc and pressure plate, bolts, an alignment tool, a new master cylinder, a braided steel hydraulic line with a dry quick-disconnect fitting and a hydraulic throwout bearing. The JL and JT internal hydraulic bearing package is also available as a stand-alone system with part number 601818. |
