School bus haulers and rvs are really cool, and we love seeing how creative people get when modifying them. Often referred to as Skoolies, they can be built into just about anything and because they usually live well-maintained lives under the care of some school district mechanics, they are usually in pretty good mechanical shape for their age. And because they often come up for sale at auction, they can be had for a song. The even cheaper way to get one is to buy one from someone who thought building a skoolie would be a great idea and then lost interest or got in over their head. The skoolie right here is arguably one of the simplest builds ever, but there are some tips that could come in handy if you are wanting to build one that will haul your toys.

This one hauled two Jeeps inside, AND a trailer with another Jeep on it behind it all the way across the country to Las Vegas. If I were building one like this I’d make some additions for creature comforts, but the door and other improvements for loading and hauling your toys is pretty cool. We’d be all over hauling some stuff in this bad boy.
