Everyday, in every city, some driver will cut a corner too sharp and run over a curb, or will misjudge a tight situation and end up scraping up a corner of their vehicle. When the vehicle in question is a big rig, sometimes the damage or incident can be minor and other times it can be pretty gnarly. We’ve seen big trucks cut corners and run over a curb or wack a sign a bunch of times. But it is pretty rare for a truck to cut a corner and have this kind of result.

This video is from a mountain road, under construction, that the driver very badly underestimated. With what appears to be a 53 foot flatbed trailer, full of something big and heavy, he tried a corner that was not possible to make with all wheels still on the pavement. At least not when the temporary barricade in the center of the road had him crowded over to the side. Why the driver would attempt it after starting the corner we have no idea, as we’d have backed up no matter what. The result is a pretty amazing and relatively slow roll and slide and tumble very far down this forest covered hill.
