Pre-Running The BAJA 1000 With Cameron Steele And The Desert Assassins Looks Like A Riot

Pre-Running The BAJA 1000 With Cameron Steele And The Desert Assassins Looks Like A Riot

I’ve watched a lot of pre-running videos over the years, and while the teams doing the pre-running are serious and dedicated to making sure they have the route and their race trucks sorted before race day, they sure do seem to have a lot of fun too. I doubt that there are as many smiles or as much fun on race day, as everything is incredibly serious and turned up to 11. But on a pre-running trip, like the one Cameron Steele and the Desert Assassins are doing here for the BAJA 1000, there seems to be some fun sprinkled in that certainly looks like something any truck guy would want to be a part of. In this video Cameron and the crew are tearing it up in preparation for the BAJA 1000 in 2020 but are also showing off some of the cool places and people along the way.

Watching trucks this heavy, with this much power, haul ass across the desert, on winding hill climbs, and through the brush is something to behold. I haven’t been to the 1000 in a few years, but the last time it was amazingly awesome and I can’t wait to get back down there. This is a race that I’d love to compete in some day but even just getting the chance to pre-run this race would be epic.

Watch and let us know if you’d strap into one of these and let it rip across the dessert.
