Stadium Super Trucks Invaded Mid-Ohio And The Racing Was Awesome!

Stadium Super Trucks Invaded Mid-Ohio And The Racing Was Awesome!

Stadium Super Trucks are always fun to watch and nothing says America more than seeing them hauling ass around Mid-Ohio in July. Here is race number 1 of 2 during the weekend’s festivities, and as usual it is all about bumping and banging and hanging tires in the air while sideways. Oh and flying through the air, because jumping stuff is cool as well.

These trucks make 650 ish horsepower, are all equipped with nearly identical components, and that makes super close racing in an environment you might not normally expect. They race these on the tarmac, with jumps made of steel, and that means three-wheel corners, lots of banging and bashing, big air, and lots of sideways cornering. It’s off-road style racing, in town, and in front of crowds that are used to watching open-wheel racing instead of big tired trucks. And the action and excitement level is always on kill with racers and spectators alike never know what might happen. Watch this race here and you’ll know exactly what we’re talking about.

Robby Gordan is by far my fav. He came from the back of the pack. Was leading. Still finished 4th. And pretty much the oldest guy out there. This type of racing is very cool.
