OBS trucks are all the rage right now, which comes as no surprise to those of us that have been OBS fans since back in the day. Tim Strange is one of the OG OBS guys, so it should come as no surprise that when he found one that he thought would make a good shop truck he snatched it up and called the gang at QA1 to order up one of their new suspension systems. And system is the appropriate word here. Everything is designed to work together, front and rear, and it comes as complete kits with only a few options. Now if you are looking for a kit to install on a Saturday in the driveway, that will give you the standard 4/6 drop, this might not be the kit for you. This is a high performance suspension system that completely replaces the entire rear suspension, and half the front suspension. We’re talking new mounting locations for improved geometry, a torque arm and links, and more. With that said, this kit is VERY detailed in its instructions and everything is designed to bolt on. The rear suspension, which is shown being installed in this video, can be installed with just a grinder, hammer and punch, a drill, and normal hand tools. It’s not complicated, but it is involved.
We’re starting off by sharing the rear suspension, and rear sway bar installation videos, where Tim Strange and Ryan Harris jump into it and get this thing done. Note that while they are explaining each step as they go along, they aren’t working too hard. There isn’t a lot of sweating and huffing and puffing here, because they are going through the install as QA1 intended, which is all about working smart, not hard. Again, this install is not complicated, but it is involved and will take some time. With the right tools it can go a bit faster, but I’d say you want to set aside a weekend to install this thing, align it, and hit the road.

Nice kits, well engineered. One comment… the suspension bolts should be inserted in the direction of travel, head forward, nut rearward. If a nut works loose it is less likely that the bolt falls out.
