(By Greg Rourke) – Did you have a bunch of Tonka trucks and equipment when you were a kid? Sorry, stupid question, of course you did. I built many millions of miles of Interstate highways and such with mine. Here we have an event for guys who still play with tractors.
The event is in New York in a town I cannot pronounce or spell. It looks like a giant sandbox for grown up kids to play with their tractors. While it appears any vintage equipment was welcome, this vid features bulldozers. Perhaps the most basic of dirt work machines, they just push stuff. What I find is the highlight of this clip is what might be the best show of a Euclid TC-12 on the net. You recall the TC-12, it’s the jolly green dozer that Brian has a fetish for. You can see the two sides articulating on uneven ground. While other dozers here move dirt, they require a bit of finesse when too much terra firma gets in front of the blade. Not the TC-12, the operator just throttles up the two Detroits and the Earth moves.
