This video rules for a few reasons. The first is that Steve Morris is involved with his hub dyno. The second is that the rig on the hub dyno is a crazy, kind of ugly, wildly overpowered burnout truck that was in the shop to get the tune cleaned up. The engine is a big block Chevy of 500+ cubes, it has a freaking awesome fuel system that you’ll have to see to believe, and on top of it all is a Littlefield 8-71 blower that’s secured to the top of a tunnel ram. Yes, we know. It’s just so good you may want to burst into tears.
Morris works with the truck, making a couple of pulls on the hub dyno to get the most power and happiest tuneup out out of the engine. The fun thing here is kind of proving that engine guys are engine guys and no matter the combo, they’ll get it figured and end up making the most power possible.
Starting at just over 700hp the guys manage to tweak and tune themselves into the 1,090hp range and really unleash the potential of their combo. The look, the fuel system, and the raw noise this thing makes is just fantastic!
