If you aren’t familiar with the Dakar Classic, you are not alone. It was added to bring back pre-2000 race cars, trucks, and more to compete at Dakar just like the old days. In truth, some of these cars and trucks are what make me love Dakar and what made me fall in love with it back in the 1990s. And while the current crop of race cars and trucks have it tough, they don’t have it nearly as tough as these racers do and those that raced these cars and trucks back when they were current racers.
