BangShifty Perfection! This Former Vogue Motorhome Is Now A BangShifty Car Hauler

BangShifty Perfection! This Former Vogue Motorhome Is Now A BangShifty Car Hauler

The art of converting an old camper into a BangShifty car hauler can be touch and go. Lots of times it seems like a good idea on its face but when it comes time to execute, things are not only lacking but downright scary. That’s why when we see something as good as this former Vogue camper turned car hauler we need to celebrate it. Oh, that and the fact that this running, driving, monster is for sale for less than $2,000 makes it even more imperative that we preach the gospel on it. Travis Arneson is the guy who gets all the credit for sending us a tip on this beautiful bastard and if you are living in the Pacific Northwest this thing could be your jam.

The seller claims that the truck has eight good tires on it, has a rebuilt Chrysler big block and Torqueflite combo that has less than 1,000 miles on it, and since the interior has not been “redone” you can assemble it to your liking. Oh, it also does not have any ramps but you get to make perfect ones, so that is actually a win in disguise, right? We’re internally debating whether or not the interior should be done in “living” quarters or just go all out racer on the thing and get tools, tool boxes, and stuff stored inside. You know the answer. Just live among the tools and sack up, sweetie.

Our favorite part of the whole contraption is the overall look. Whoever cut the body off is a kind of a genius because it was done in a really pro looking manner. You get the look of the motorhome but you also get the hardcore hauler look to a T.

There’s nothing here to hate. The freaking sale price is $1,500! Not buying this is a crime if you live within a few hours. Your wife will love it for sure!

That’s actually really cool looking – the shape in the back makes it look like less of a back job and more thought out. I’d love it if it wasn’t longer than the street I live on…

That would be in my backyard if it was closer. That has to be at least 30ft long! Only needs a small angle behind the rear wheels to make it a little easier loading and unloading.

This reminds me of the great custom transporters that F1 teams such as Ferrari used in the 1950s, which had both working space and living accommodation in front of the loading area. It would look great with a classic race car on the back painted to match its livery.
