So I have been on a hot streak with weird and awesome tracked vehicles as of late. This one came to my attention via OG BangShifter Shawn Anderson who posted this Craigslist ad on his Facebook page. Say what you want about social media but this is why we happen to love it! Using an old snow grooming machine, whoever created this awesome machine took an OBS Ford cab and its engine then mated with with the driveline of the Snow Cat or whatever make this originally was. We can tell you that it won’t be heading anywhere in a hurry because it is powered by an old IDI 7.3 that is not turbocharged. Having once test driven and nearly bought one of those trucks we can say that acceleration could be times with a snow depth gauge. While it is not a hot rod that will blind you with speed, it will grunt its way through anything and we bet that this rig has yanked out more stuck stuff than it can count over the years.
Between the short length of the machine and the maneuverability you’d get with the tracks, and the looks that will stop chicks in their tracks, this may be the greatest tracked truck ever built. There’s no overhang, there’s no wasted space, and there are two big ol’ stacks climbing up behind the back glass of the Ford tank. The extended cab gives you sleeping quarters for those long nights out on the frozen tundra of wherever you happen to be operating it. For the record, while it was probably expensive to build, $12,500 seems like a lot of dough.
Because we’re sure this thing will sell quicker than free beer, here’s the text of the ad:

The only thing I think it needs is a built-up, pissed-off 5.9L 12-valve Cummins that makes some proper power, so you can rip across fields at way faster speeds than this thing should achieve
I need an explanation as to why F1 was tagged in his ad. I see in no way how really old ford pickups were involved in these shenanigans, nor do I envision Kimi looking at this and thinking ‘ yea we can win with this, lets go’
Other than THAT, win. And it’s in my state, I am currently trying to convince one of the local go’ole’boys that needs a new Daily Driver that this is his solution. Do I get a Bang shift shirt if hilarity ensues?
to answer your question to why tag F1, because there were F1 Ford pickups before there were F100 pickups.
