Cheap Truck Challenge 2016: A Sad Liberty Versus A Tired (But Nitrous Injected) Blazer

One of the fun videos that has become a yearly tradition for the Dirt Every Day series is the Cheap Truck Challenge. This is where Fred Williams and some buddies get together to take a couple of cheap, old, tired trucks and turn them into the most capable things they can be for virtually no money. The hackery is big, the carnage is usually bigger, but the laughs are the biggest of all. In this case there was a pretty cherry looking K5 Blazer and a pretty sad sack Jeep Liberty competing.

Williams had the Liberty and his secret weapon was, umm, he didn’t have one. A spacer style lift, some tires, a hacked off exhaust, and a Lincoln locker were about the extent of the things done to get the rod knocking Jeep ready for combat. The other guys put a NOS Sniper nitrous plate system on the 350 powering the Blazer, took the roof off the back, put some big tires on, cut the fenders so that they would fit and then went headlong into it.

The competitions ranged from a tug of war to some real crawling action and as predicted, we smiled through the whole thing. This is what cars and trucks are all about. Pure fun!
