Check Out This Awesome Old 4×4 GMC Army Truck In Brazil – Diesel Power And Big Capability

In the never-ending quest to prove that gearheads are pretty much the same in every corner of the world, we have found a group of guys who restore and beat on vintage military trucks in Brazil. These are not totally bizarre trucks that you would not recognize but instead they are rigs that may actually be familiar. We’re blown away by this one. You are looking at a GMC in the C50-C70 range equipped with four wheel drive and a diesel engine. We’re thinking this truck would have had smaller NDT style tires on it when new but those have been replaced by some more modern military rubber that looks all the world to us in the 40″ inch range. Long story short, this thing is BAD ASS.

Despite the mega-long wheelbase, the huge rubber on the corners makes the truck capable of climbing stuff with steep approach angles and the diesel engine under the hood gives it plenty of grunt. We were unable to dig up any specific information on this truck even just in the general sense.

It should not come as a big surprise to see a GM military vehicle in this part of the world as many countries in that neck of the woods employed Fords, Chevrolets, and GMs for their military needs. This particular channel has some cool Ford trucks on it as well.

The engine sounds like a naturally aspirated six cylinder as there’s no audible turbo whistle that we could pick up on. The axles look like big Spicer or Dana units, and as best we can tell this thing has always been a four wheel drive, just not as massive as it is now.

Do you know anything about these trucks? We came up totally dry when looking for information regarding specifics. There’s one specific we do have and that’s the fact we’re in love with the whole damned thing.
