Ever heard of Arctic Trucks? Unless you spend a good portion of your job huddled with penguins at McMurdo Sound or you’re a fan of Top Gear, probably not. The Icelandic company started out as a modification shop that would upgrade vehicles for use in any conditions, including the harsh winters that Iceland has, but has expanded to cover a range of modifications for both personal and professional vehicles. Work must continue, snow be damned. In this video, an unsuspecting Toyota Hilux 3.0 CRD is treated to the top-tier AT44 6×6 treatment in preparation for it’s use as a vehicle for the Willis Resilience Expedition in Antarctica. Very, very little of the truck seems to have been left alone, and by the end of the job you have a diesel Toyota sitting on some of the largest 44-inch tires we’ve seen, perfect for floating over snow and ice with as little as 2 psi of air inside.

That’s what I want for Christmas.
