(By Tom Lohnes) – GMC and its Hummer EV Pickup truck seem to be attracting a fair bit of attention, and to gain a little more, they’re entering a highly modified Hummer EV into a new sport called Extreme E.
You would be correct to say Extreme E is a series of extreme stunts performed by Electric vehicles, and this trophy truck Hummer looks up to the task. With over 1100 horsepower from three electric motors, 4WD, and that front light-bar from the normal one, the things shared between the Hummer and the Trophy Truck end here.
With its high-performance air suspension swapped out for extreme-travel shocks, a gutted interior, and just about the most aggressive off-road tire I’ve ever seen on anything, this Hummer is ready to race. I can’t wait to see where this sport goes, and if it’ll go mainstream like Formula E is starting to do right now. Hopefully roaring, monster V8 trophy trucks don’t get replaced by these silent dune-killers, but I would love to see the two compete in the same league.
You can’t buy the trophy truck, but prices for the standard Hummer EV range between $79,999 and $116,500.
The only use for a battery is to start an engine
that and your wife’s vibrator.
Lol basement boy
LOL, Got em’. Time to get rid of the carb and move into the future, Bob.
Johnny you think this is the future?
There is currently no viable replacement for fossil fuels.
Educate yourself
But then you may have mistaken indoctrination for education
If this is the future, then getting rid of federal tax write offs on EV’s should be a part of that future, sooner than later.
