Got Soot? This Compound Turbo Equipped Cummins Powered Ford Rips 10s!

There’s nothing freaky about diesel performance anymore, right? Seeing trucks with a column of soot coming out the exhaust flying down the drag strip is kind go a normal thing these days. In fact, the video you are going to see below is not awesome because the truck is freaky fast, it is awesome because the truck is built the right way. With 1,000hp out of a compound turbo equipped 12-valve Cummins, a Ford Crown Victoria front end, and a single chrome stack in the bed contrasting the flat black paint, this is really a cool truck. For the record, we are not sure there is anything in the diesel pickup world that beats the sound of a pissed off and worked over Cummins incliner. The thing is like a Kenworth with a bed…or at least it sounds that way.

The other thing we dig about this video is the fact that it was made at Cecil County Dragway in Rising Sun, Maryland. This historic east coast strip has been a central part of the sport in the Mid-Atlantic region for decades and as you can see it is still a busy and well attended place on test and tune nights and while hosting events like the upcoming YellowBullet Nationals and more.

We dig the truck and we really dig the interview with the owner/driver. The guy seems to have his program together and has goals to accomplish with the sucker. The fact that is freshly completed, already runs 10.40s at over 125mph, and has plates on it really brings the smile to our face. This thing looks good, sounds good, and runs like the flat black wind. 100% BangShift approved!
