42 inch tall tires are the norm in the rock crawling world nowadays, and if you aren’t running them you are considered to be on small tires. I remember when 44 inch tall tires were only found on the biggest and baddest lifted machines, and 36’s were considered a big tire for anything you were actually going to drive. But tire technology has come a long way, and like most other things in the off-road and hot rodding worlds, bigger is better.
What do you think? Are 42’s the right answer on a Jeep like this? Or are they right on anything you can fit them on? We dig them, and hope you do too.
Video Description:
The Ultimate Summer Camp Jeep is a bunch of great parts cooked together to make a fun trail jeep, but even so there are things that break or get bent when I drive it like a yo-yo. I did a prior episode going over the broken stuff, and here is a recap as I get it back together for wheelin season.
