Huge By Large: This Monster Of A 1969 Chevy Pickup Has A Big Block And Lift For Days

Perhaps it is a fault that all of us have or perhaps it is just me but the reality is that I never really escaped 10-years old. If I had, something like this mammoth 1969 Chevy truck would strike me as over the top, and gaudy, and dumb. Instead it strikes me as the best thing I have laid eyes on in some time. The wackiest part about this thing? The seller claims that in the photos the truck is actually sitting 6-8″ lower than it can when the suspension is topped out. Personally we think it sits pretty flipping nice as you see it int he photos but that’s just us.

On the mechanical side you can see the big Rockwell axles underpinning the the truck. What you cannot see is the 468ci big block Chevy engine that is responsible for moving this all down the road. Apparently the photographer left his ariel lift at home the day he was taking these images. The truck looks to be professionally built and according to the ad, the truck that served as the basis for this rig was a nicely restored example. That may make lots of classic Chevy truck fans cringe but since money was obviously no object here, why not start with something nice and fresh.

The massive amount of tubing under the truck looks pretty cool and while there are not detailed, up close, photos, it sure seems to be well done from 6ft away (then again we have said the same for some plastic surgery we have seen and GAHHH). The interior is bone stock with the nice factory dash, and body painted steel all around. The seat is a bone stock looking bench as well. The Chevy logo shaped steps bolt to the truck so you could take them off if you wanted. Of course you’d have to hire a chopper or levitate yourself into the rig but that’s a fun trick to show off as well. The beadlocks and 49-inch Interco Irok tires make the whole thing in my eyes.

I’m 10 years old and when you are 10 you draw stuff like this and dream about one day having that creation. I’ll never have this one, but it sure makes me smile to see it.
