(Words by Kasey Sutherland – Photos by DWS Photography) – When you see a truck that catches your eye, sometimes you just have to have it. When Todd Peverill came across a Super Duty on Ebay with a Kelderman 8-10″ 4-Link Air Suspension Lift Kit, he knew that was the route he needed to take. Within a matter of a few phone calls, Todd had decided on the direction to take building his own truck and he and shipped his rig from it’s Virginia home to Kelderman headquarters in Oskaloosa, Iowa. This 2015 F-350 arrived bone stock, but that was about to change.
The Kelderman crew removed all of the Super Duty’s stock suspension in favor of a 4-Link Air Suspension system that would provide 8-10″ of lift for Todd’s new ride. The Hadley SAMS 4×4 Air Management system was installed with it’s touchscreen in-cab controller to take the Ford from it’s 8-10″ ride height to a 4″ lift with the push of a button to make it easier for Todd to get in and out of the big Powerstroke. Not only can this new Super Duty go from an 8″ lift to a 4″ lift at the push of a button, but it can also inflate to a massive 14″ lift if extra clearance is needed. To round out the look of this King Ranch, the staff at Kelderman added color matched Fusion Bumpers to the front and rear while Rigid Industries light bars provide some needed light output up front and out back.
Chrome wasn’t in the plans for this one, so the factory grille and emblems got some special attention as well and were painted to blend in nicely with the truck’s black and brown persona. With the 8-10″ air suspension giving a substantial increase in height, Todd’s ride was fitted with 24″ KMC XD Series Rockstar II wheels with painted inserts and 38″ Nitto Trail Grappler M/T tires to put the finishing touch on this Kelderman creation.
Thanks to experience and knowhow of building the country’s baddest trucks, Kelderman was able to return Todd’s truck back to him with the perfect mix of brawn and luxury.
