Next Generation Ford Bronco To Be Built In Michigan – Not A Hoax, It Is Happening

Next Generation Ford Bronco To Be Built In Michigan – Not A Hoax, It Is Happening

(Image from Bronco6G.com) – After a couple of years of internet hoaxes, speculative renderings, and all out begging from Ford fans, it has been confirmed in the most interesting of ways that there WILL be a next generation Ford Bronco and it WILL be built in Michigan. We know, we rolled our eyes when we started seeing the news stories as well, but the biggest difference between what has been said before and what has been said now is that what’s on the table now is 100% real and will be happening in the next year or so. The Ford Ranger truck will also be making a comeback at some point, likely at the same time or perhaps even ahead of the Bronco. It is important to note that the lead image is not confirmed as to what the new Bronco will look like, instead it is a rendering that we pray Ford follows!

This was not news broken by an automotive journalist on purpose, instead it was news created by the 2016 presidential race. Donald Trump has been talking about the loss of production and jobs in Ford plants as production is moved to Mexico. Working on the story, a Detroit Free Press reporter was speaking to the head of the UAW at the plant where production will be taking place let the information slip during the interview. Saying that the plant was losing the small car production but gaining Bronco and Ranger the guy let the cat out of the bag on what has to have been a concerted effort to keep both of those projects under wraps in order to make a big splash during show season which is coming soon.

Obviously we want to see Coyote power, stout crawl ratios, and big rubber but we’ll probably get something more tame than that to start. Now that people know it is coming, will Ford be able to live up to the inane expectations of Bronco fans who have been clamoring for a new model for years?

If they can make it look like any of the renderings I’ll be in line to buy 1. However, its likely Ford will screw it up and release something that looks like a Jeep Renegade. Being that the Ranger is in the same plant, expect the Bronco to share chassis and engine combinations. So as much as I would want a coyote, 6 speed expect small ecoboost and perhaps a diesel. Who knows. They just need to keep the cost at an affordable level. I see this as competition for the Jeep Jk not a GMC Yukon.
Only time is going to tell what Ford does. I just hope they don’t screw it up.

I hope the Ranger will not be just a 95% F150. It needs to be noticeably different in size to provide an alternative. As for the Bronco, I’m hoping for a cross between a new Wrangler and an old Land Rover. Modern drive-train handling and a classic design with removable top and doors.

I would love a new Bronco to come out but I know it will be junk because of technology. I currently have a 96 and hate that 4 wheel is electric. When it went out I had no 4 wheel but my buddy who has it on the floor never has an issue. I would guess there 4 wheel drive will be open diffs all around, creating two wheel drive, just on two axles.

  4. AMERICAN JOBS!

Give those jobs to AMERICANS not the 10,000 “REFUGEE” muslim monsters about to Obama-encroach and invade Michigan!

YES! YES! YES! YES!!!!!!!!!! Now, we have to hope that they do not screw up and totally humiliate the Bronco legend!!

With the long-delayed RHD Mustang arriving on our shores will we have to wait 50 years for a similarly equipped Bronco in the UK?

It beats the pants off the soccer players wive’s designer crap that we have come to expect from Land Rover these days as it at least bears some resemblance to the original. So all we need is a Shelby version with a hot Coyote motor and the general appearance of the classic Broncos that used to run the Baja 500.

The automotive world is eagerly expecting updates about Ford Bronco but after the news about the resurrection of this iconic model first time broke out and spread like wildfire it came to calm. 2017 Ford Bronco is expected to arrive by the end of the next year, and this model would serve as a pre-production showroom exhibit. Production models would come later in 2018. These conclusions are drawn from the facts that Ford is already conducting tests on new Bronco in Australia.
