When I get tagged in a post from fellow BangShifters in Zuckerberg’s World, I know that it’s one of two things: either something I’m interested or, more often than not, something that has me reaching for the eye bleach. We’ve featured some freak builds on BangShift before, but it’s been quite some time since we’ve seen one like this before. This chimera, which appears to be the combination of a late 1950’s Chevrolet truck nose and cab welded to the second half of a 1968 Dodge Coronet stuck on an early 1990’s Suburban frame is what greeted me as I ate my lunch yesterday. I was enjoying my burger until I saw it.
Honestly, if it was put onto a Super Duty frame you could piss off every group in one shot. GM guys are upset that the back end is a Mopar. Mopar guys are pissed off that there’s one less Coronet left in the world to clone into a Super Bee. Ford guys are just grateful that they are left out of the mess altogether, and AMC fans are laughing their asses off, pointing and yelling “NOW YOU KNOW IT IT FEELS!”
Take a look and judge for yourself. I’m going to go find my happy place and try to get that image out of my head.
(Thanks…I think…to Hillbilly Sailor for sending me that. You owe me a lunch. Link originated on the Ratty Muscle Cars Facebook page)
The Centaur must be destroyed.
looks like proper placement of links in the theory of evolution to me
Yeap! a Chevy evolving into a real car.
At least they got the color right…shit brown.
Power it with an AMC 390 & put a 9 inch rear in it. Also, graft some ’59 Eldorado fins onto it in order to provide some visual balance to the rear. As is, it is preferable to the yellow “dinosaur” SSR.
Ugly as all get out, but I will give whoever did credit for two things, one, the engineering. No matter, the person cobbled together something out of several nothings (I hope). And two, this is thinking as far outside the box as you can get! (Or maybe the intent was to make people cringe!) lol
Looks like photoshop to me
LSD does silly things to a person’s mind.
thats the only thing I think that person was on when they built that monstrosity
It beats walking!
no not really
