When big, heavy vehicles are damaged on the field of battle, trucks capable of recovering them are necessary. Because wars don’t tend to happen in the best or most friendly driving environments, said trucks need to be able to get to these broken pieces of equipment wherever they may be. That’s why trucks like the Oshkosh Multi-Mission Recovery System exist and thank the heavens that they do. This 10-wheel drive monster can dead lift MRAPs and other personnel carriers, trucks, and whatever else it wants to with lifting capacity over 60 tons with its massive boom and winches. Not to mention the fact that you have to protect the driver and crane operator so the thing is armored to the teeth and equipped with a zillion cameras to see what’s going on outside the truck so the operator can lift things without being shot.
The video below shows the Oshkosh Multi-Mission Recovery System driving around a test course, lifting MRAP trucks, lifting what looks to be some sort of armored personnel carrier, and scaling all kinds of hills and fording deep water, etc. This is like one of those big highway wreckers but 10x more bad ass. While this video does not show the truck having any guns attached to it, we’re hoping that there’s some sort of big machine gun mounted on this thing somewhere when used in the field because frankly the only thing that could make this truck more awesome is some firepower. The multiple spades the truck has to dig itself into soft ground, the huge out riggers that pop out so that the machine can be stabilized to lift hoge objects, and the general look of 10 wheels crawling like a giant centipede over stuff is great.

It’s got a gun shield on top, not being Army I can’t say what it can mount but I’m guessing any of the infantry automatic weapons.
Yep, anything that takes a standard crewserved weapons mount, M82, 240, 249, MK19, M60 ect.
Looks like a new version of the PLS, the rear axle and the front two on the PLS steers. Decent truck but the cab is tiny.
