One of the highlights of a recent family trip to Florida was a visit to the Paquette International Farmall Museum and Hall of Fame which is located in the town of Leesburg. It was about an hours drive up to Leesburg from Orlando and when we arrived at the meticulously maintained facility that is tucked a mile or two off the main road, we were blown away. From the first building which looks like a 1940s International Farmall dealership to the three other massive structures that house tractors of all shapes and sizes, trucks, and memorabilia, it was fun from the moment we arrived to the time we left. Heck, even my wife had a good time and she wasn’t even planning on coming to the place with the boys and I.
The Paquette family originally hails from Meredith, New Hampshire and they migrated south and established themselves as very successful paving contractors. Stew Paquette is the man behind this massive collection and all we can say is that the guy’s got great taste and a pretty much unquenchable thirst for all things International and Farmall. The photos you will see in this gallery were shot inside the first display barn and it will give you an idea of how monstrous this collection is. We got the same access that anyone off the street would and bought a ticket in so don’t think they we were allowed places you would not be allowed to go. Everything is right there on display and the museum volunteers are on hand to give all kinds of great info and back stories on the machinery.
This is a truly awesome place, especially if you are a tractor fan!
Motorheads in training….just great!
Thanks for posting these pics. My son and I geeked out over all of those awesome tractors all morning. They should host tractor pulls on the grounds of the mueseum.
