This modified diesel truck is pretty wild but we’re not sure it is intended to be as wild as it is in this video. The truck is laid down on the ground, the engine has been moved behind the cab, the wheelbase has been stretched, and it has enough power to literally vaporize tires. The engine we mentioned sounds a lot like a Detroit Diesel of the 12-cylinder variety. The engine has a couple of turbos on top of it and it sounds heavenly when the driver gets the thing revved up and working. We don’t know if the truck is just a burnout machine or if it gets drag raced, etc.
The fun starts with the truck roasting tires and spinning a donut. Then there is a second and more awesome burnout where the black smoke is rolling, the white tire smoke is rolling and then the orange flames are rolling. Whoops. Yeah, the fire was an unintentionally added part of the show and this is not a little one. It gets hot enough to start melting stuff and as you’ll see, before the engine is shut off it seems like the bank of cylinders on the driver’s side has given up the ghost as well.
No, an engine does not have to work hard to keep spinning tires spinning but when you put a massive mill on the deck like this and just keep it there, bad things are bound to happen. In this case the bad thing was the engine getting nuclear hot and letting the fire out!
