This Six Door 1992 Ford F-350 Has An 11-Foot Bed And The Turning Radius Of An Aircraft Carrier

There are big custom trucks and then there are BIG. CUSTOM. TRUCKS. This monster from the Mobile, Alabama area fits in the second category because it is lifted way up, 44(ish) inch tires, a six door cab, and an eleven foot bed. We have no information about who created and constructed the truck but it was obviously done by someone with the skills necessary to complete a huge frame stretch and to add 33% to the cab and make it look factory stock. Because of the tall and wide tires, the steering radius of this monster machine would be huge on paper. Unless there is some big trickery going on with the steering, that thing would be a biatch to stick into a parking spot a the local shopping mall. The fact that it is powered by an IDI 7.3L Power Stroke means that you’ll be getting blown off by old ladies pushing grocery store carts. Hey, even though it is long, at least it is slow, right?

The Mobile, Alabama area has a significant oil and gas industry around it. We’re wondering if someone decided to build a truck capable of dragging guys out to the field with them and extended the cargo area for moving stuff around out there in the wilds. The better option is probably assuming that someone built it because they thought it would be fun. With three fuel tanks on board the range is full on nutso and with an electric sliding window, sweet ventilation is only a button or a 15 minute walk to the back of the cab away.

This may be the first one of these stretched pickups that we have not barfed on the mere sight of. We think that this truck has some merit. Are we wrong?

Looks nicely built, but would have limited application besides looking cool at the local mud bog. Never have seen anything like this in the field, anywhere I’ve been, Brian, most 11-24.5 tires are approx 44″ tall (give or take a little bit) not 35ish”. It kind of puts the scale of this thing in perspective!

Also, the IDI is not a Power Stroke. The Power Stroke was not started until 1994.5 with the introduction of the direct injected, turbo 7.3L.

There’s overkill for the sake of coolness, then there’s overkill like this.
I don’t really see the point of this, nor do I see any real use for it outside the mudpit, and even then, it doesn’t make much sense.

I knew an old school Kiwi Land Cruiser mechanic who would occasionally find stretch jobs like these in his shop. He called them “Banana Boats” because over their operational lives, trucks with this kind of work would bow in at the middle.

Yikes! I can’t even imaging how small this guys dick must be. Concave? Completely inverted? There’s no reason for this truck to exist.

I am actually in the market for a truck like this. As of right now I own a 1999 F3 50 power stroke 7.3 L long bed crew cab with 12 in of lift on 40s but I am looking for a six door pick up truck with an 8 foot bed. It does not have to be an 11 foot bed that’s pretty crazy. If it came with one longer than eight then I would definitely take it. If anybody knows of anything out there relatively priced please let me know.
