Yes, this is effectively a bone stock 5-ton Army truck on 48″ floatation tires but holy cow is this rig awesome! The big truck is specifically a 1990 BMY Harsco 5-ton truck. For those of you that speak military truck it is a M923a2 and while we do not know its duty history, it was likely used to hump people and stuff around through some far off land. Being a 1990 model, it would not be out of the question to think that this truck spent some time participating in Desert Storm but obviously it would not have been this color.

The engine is an 8.3L Cummins that’s hooked to an automatic transmission. The guy has the truck listed as a “rescue” vehicle and we’re not saying that in a mocking way as the huge tires would allow this thing to cruise over soft ground and perhaps even float over water if needed. The stance and overall look that the truck has with the crazy if tires on it makes all the difference for us. While they are only rated to 30mph, the guy selling the truck says that he has actually gone 55mph on them! That seems like it would be a hairy ride as it would seem impossible to balance something of this size.

Its a monster truck, its an army truck, its in awesome condition, and hot damn do we want to own it!
