Ok, maybe not yet but we think that this trend has the potential to outstrip even the seemingly unending number of Trars that pop up for sale on various internet sales outlets. By trend we mean one vehicle…that we know about. What the hell is a trucktor you ask? Because this may be the first one ever built it seems that a trucktor is a tractor body draped over a truck chassis with some creative liberties taken on the tractor front.
In the case of this one the owner wanted an Allis-Chalmers D-21 model tractor but apparently could not find one of his liking so he got hold of a Cummins powered Dodge truck and fitted the tractor body parts to it. The genius of this is that you can register the thing as a truck and drive the thing as a truck. Imagine passing this on the highway or imagine this passing YOU on the highway. The builder added a second seat for his grandson to jump on and go riding with him.
We have no idea how many miles the guy put on it but he does claim to have driven it on the highway, which is amazingly awesome. The other great part is that the drivetrain has been hot rodded, there’s a billet torque converter used, and the seller claims that the trucktor has more power than can be actually used in normal driving conditions. Yes, we’re already dreaming about what this would run on the drag strip.
The rig has to sound spectacular as all straight pipe equipped Cummins inline six cylinder engines do and again, it has to stop people in their tracks when you go driving by. If it were us? We’d figure a way to work in some tractor style wheels with as big a rear tire and as little a front tire as we could possibly imagine fitting to it as to complete the tractor look.
Weird? You bet. Potential? Maybe.

Sweeping? Maybe whisking. 🙂
Ditch the factory wheels and tires for some painted steelies and lugged up tires
You can see various forms of this shit in a magazine called Farmshow magazine
Most of them are a cobbled up stick welded nightmare.
It looks like it will spend its life towing screaming kids around an amusement park, driven by the biggest kiddie fiddler in town….
It looks more like an airport tug than anything else. Not my cup of tea unless, of course, I went and bought an airport.
This is the latest craze sweeping the nation? It’s not April 1st is it?
