This 1964 Chevy Dually Is One Of The Coolest Mid-1960s Trucks We Have Lusted After In A While

It is tough to claim that any generation of Chevrolet truck is “unloved” but the reality is that the square trucks of the middle 1960s are kind of the forgotten sisters of the Chevy truck family. The round fender trucks of the 1950s are well known, the 1968-72 trucks are coveted HARD, and the 1973-87 body style with its crisp lines has become a favorite of hot rodders and customizers. Having owned a 1966 Chevy myself, I am a big fan of the generation and this truck could be the coolest one I have ever seen. A 1964 Chevy dually that has been modified and restored to an impeccable standard, we’d cruise this sucker in a heartbeat.

On the resto side you have the fact that the paint and body is flawless, it rides on the factory chassis, and the bed has been refurbished with some exotic hardwoods instead of the typical stuff used when the truck was new. On the modification side you have a Ram Jet 350 crate engine under the hood and a 700R4 transmission behind it to make long hauling more fun. The interior has been updated with bucket seats and a modernized dash as well. Other stuff like a dual pot master cylinder has been added and the wheels are chromed later model pieces.

The truck looks phenomenal and we bet it drives just as well with the modern touches that have been added. We have literally never seen a dually as fine as this one from this era. The stance, the finish, and the overall look is perfection. We’d buy it…would you?

Awesome truck. I agree that the 60s Chevy trucks are mostly ignored. They are my favorite. My first truck was a 1960 Apachee 10 long bed step side. I just love how the 60-63 have the forward leaning A pillars. This one is too cool. The only thing I wish it has was a 305 V6 with the rare, and cool plaid valve covers. Those 305 sixes are beasts. Beautiful truck.

I thought this truck looked familiar. I’ve seen it a few times in person parked across the street from where I work. Looks good in person. The “For Sale” sign I saw on it was for 60k

Beautiful. I too had ignored this body style, until about 6 years ago when I got a 64 C60 flat bed, and then 3 years ago got a 66 C80 Firetruck. My brother recently got a 61 4X4 which I think is pretty rare. I think that they will start getting more popular every day, as they start to get more scarce.
This beauty was no sale at 43K. It’s a lot of money, but everything is a lot of money that is decent.
