This Video Proves That Boost And Wheel Speed Can Solve Any Problem

This Video Proves That Boost And Wheel Speed Can Solve Any Problem

This video is pretty awesome because it actually made me feel warmer watching people on a beautiful beach and also because it has one hella pissed off SUV putting in some work to free another stuck SUV in the sand. As the title says, the two elements that lead to the sandy victory are wheel speed and lots of boost. We think this was filmed in Australia, but that is kind of a shot in the dark. The SUV looks to be a Toyota Land Cruiser and it sounds like it has an inline sixer engine in it. Along with that inline six, there is LOTS of turbo. As the driver of the SUV starts to lean into the throttle you can really hear the turbo spool up and go to work. The truck becomes a pretty nasty little animal and moves about three trailer loads of sand while pulling the stranded truck out of its spot.

The driver is not afraid of the rev limiter as it clips it for a few seconds while giving the truck hell to free his stuck friend. If the guy wasn’t his friend before this started, he sure was afterwards because by the looks of it, he had dug in pretty deep. Driving on sand is fun but for people who have never done it before, it can be a short-lived and exhausting experience if you get to heavy on the throttle, fail to keep your momentum up, or fail to recognize when you are about to drive through a patch that would swallow a Sherman tank, let along your mini-truck or cute ‘ute.

We want to see video of the pulling SUV on the road. That thing looks and sounds like an absolute freaking monster!

The first beach buggies here on the Jersey shore were model A’s and T’s with balloon tires. They worked fine and were fun to watch. Sadly, when 4wd’s became popular they were banned on state beaches. I ran my VW 181 “Thing” with 10″ wide rims aired down to 10lbs on the beach during the winter. Driving on sand is more finesse than HP.
