If it’s destined for the junkyard but runs, you might as well have some fun with the vehicle before it dies, right? That’s the theory behind some of the best low-buck racing you can find: LeMons, demo derby, and Tough Truck. Tough Truck is cool because it’s the torture test that we wish the factories actually did: put a vehicle in the hands of a determined redneck and wait and see what breaks first. And where better to test out a four-wheel-drive’s flight capabilities than Dennis Anderson’s personal fun park? Anderson is the mad genius behind the “Grave Digger” monster trucks and has decades’ worth of experience in the fields of off road, mud, and stuffing trucks into the ground. We dig pretty much every truck you’ll see running for one reason or another, but pay attention to the ZJ Grand Cherokee that has been converted into a pickup of sorts. There’s crazy, there’s insane (one of the Samurai drivers fits that bill), and then there’s the Jeep driver…trust me, watch the entire thing. His last run looks like a Dukes of Hazzard stunt!
