We live in a world where everyone that tows, even occasionally, seems to think that they need a 2500 or 3500 truck to do their towing, when in reality most folks never town anything that comes close to their truck’s towing capabilities. And what makes that extra funny is that a 1500 truck in 2025 is capable of towing what 3500 truck was rated at 30 years ago. New 1500, half ton, trucks are capable of pulling more than 10,000 lbs in most cases and that is some serious towing power. Plus, the engines in these 1500 models make hundreds of horsepower more than trucks have historically had.
